Methodology

Where every number on this page comes from

Cite it, check it, argue with it. The two sides of the comparison measure different things, and we label which is which rather than blending them into one number.

US base salary
Bureau of Labor Statistics Occupational Employment and Wage Statistics (OEWS), national median annual wage for the closest matching occupation, divided by 12. As of BLS OEWS May 2024 release.
Benefits & overhead factor
A flat +30% on base, standing in for employer payroll taxes, health insurance, paid leave, equipment and software seats. Real loading varies by state and headcount — this is the conservative middle.
Typical recruiting cost
A $12,500 midpoint of the $10–15K range an agency or contingency recruiter charges for these roles. Amortized over the first 12 months in the monthly view, a one-time line in the annual view.
Pool salary asks
Salary expectations stated by vetted candidates in the Sourced pool during onboarding — mostly across Latin America. Median, p25 and p75 per role family, with the sample size (n) shown on every result. Refreshed monthly; figures here are July 2026.
Seniority
Adjusts the US column only — the curated benchmark table carries junior/mid/senior values (≈ OEWS p25 / median / p75). Pool figures stay at role-family level, all seniorities, and are never scaled: what you see is the published data.
The Sourced fee
A flat $299 per open role, one time — the entire recruiting fee. No percentage of salary, no per-profile unlock. Optional after hire: Contracting $99/mo per contractor, EOR $799/mo per employee.
What we do not claim
These are not placed-wage figures and not an offer. A salary ask is where a candidate starts, not what they sign for. Nothing here accounts for your state’s payroll rules, your equity, bonuses, or the cost of the role staying open. Role families are broad buckets, so a specialist inside a bucket can sit well outside the band. Not placed wagesNot a quotePre-negotiationRole-family level
Questions

Before you trust the number

Is this what I'd actually pay?

Close, but treat it as a planning range rather than a quote. The pool column is what candidates say they want before any conversation; a signed rate usually lands inside the p25–p75 band shown. The US column is a modeled cost, not a specific job offer. What is exact is our own fee: $299 per open role, flat.

What's included in the $299?

The whole recruiting job for one open role. You describe the role in plain English, and a recruiter pod — AI agents with a Sourced person in the loop — sources from the pool, verifies fit, contacts candidates, screens them, and schedules your interviews. No percentage of salary, no markup buried in what your hire is paid. After you hire, Contracting ($99/mo per contractor) and Employer of Record ($799/mo per employee) are optional add-ons.

Where does the salary data come from?

Candidates in the Sourced pool state a monthly USD expectation when they join, and we publish the median plus the p25–p75 band per role family with the sample size attached — every result shows its n, so you can weigh a 460-profile bucket differently from a 44-profile one. The US side comes from BLS OEWS national medians plus a flat 30% loading factor.

How is English verified?

Every profile carries a CEFR level (A2 through C2) with evidence behind it, not a self-reported "fluent". Candidates complete a structured assessment, and the level sits on the profile next to the salary ask and the hours of EST overlap — so you know how a conversation will go before you book one.
