About
I am Franco Riquero, one of the co-founders of Sentinel, a project we developed to directly address the problem of forest fires, combining autonomous drones, artificial intelligence, and thermal imaging. The project seeks to protect ecosystems, vulnerable communities, and biodiversity, and was recognized with the First ILAN Award for University Innovation 2025. Thanks to this, this year I represent Argentina on an international mission in Israel, along with other social impact projects. In these years, I worked within the university with this project, both in technological development, territorial validation, and business model creation. I participated in building alliances with NGOs, governments, and sponsors, and in presenting the project in competitions and media. I am passionate about working where technology can be a real tool to solve concrete social and environmental problems, generating positive and sustainable impact.
